So my friend, good guy, but he has a wife with a ‘big ass’. Big ass, meaning she needs to have all the material shit, orders the lobster etc. Anyway, he makes a good living for both of them. She doesn’t work, no kids. She has a Master’s in education that she does nothing with. Modest house, clean, cozy etc. They have had the house for about 5 or 6 years. Anyway, she wants to ‘remodel’ the upstairs. But, she doesn’t work. She contributes no income. But because she ‘wants’ to have workers come in, wants to order them around, pick out fabric and paints, sinks, toilets, wallpaper, and on and on. She keeps hounding him about it. The house is not in disrepair, so he’s like WTF. She wants to take on a project, fine, but I have to foot the bill? Her reasoning is that he will like the ‘changes’. But, he doesn’t feel a ‘change’ is in order, so it has been a source of stress for both of them: her hounding, him putting it off (he will buckle). Contractors love women because they have no clue about what things entail. All the stupid chick sees is ‘a new door’. She doesn’t realize that the door she ordered doesn’t fit, that the current door frame needs to be destroyed and rebuilt/anchored to accommodate the larger, heavier door . But, she saw this door on TV or something and HAS TO HAVE IT. Of course, she isn’t even considering the dust, dirt, tools, guys treading all over the house blah blah blah…she just sees that new door. So, the door which she got on ‘sale’ for $500 will cost $3000 to put in. A fuckin’ DOOR. Ever notice it’s the chick that comes up with all these stupid ideas?
